Gwyneth Paltrow is more than simply an excellent actress. She has alone created a lifestyle culture and lifestyle brand whilst maintaining her distinct identity. Her evolving career in and out of the world of acting has been very lucrative, too. Look at this list of her career accomplishments.
Gwyneth Paltrow is the daughter of the late director and producer Bruce Paltrow and still-working actress Blythe Danner. She grew up in the entertainment business and had an interest in acting at a young age. Her brother, Jake, is also in the biz.
Living in Los Angeles with her parents, Gwyneth grew up around some pretty famous faces and even considers many of them family. Her parents were extremely close to director Steven Spielberg and asked him to be their daughter's godfather. This helped Gwyneth to land one of her very first major film roles.
Gwyneth won an Academy Award in 1999 for the classic movie Shakespeare in Love. The movie was a surprise hit, especially during awards season. It ended up winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards, beating out her godfather's masterpiece, Saving Private Ryan.
In 2000, Gwyneth collaborated with her father on the film Duets. Though it was a bit of a flop, it showed off her singing skills. Although she's never shown interest in pursuing a singing career, she did use her skills once more in the 2010 movie Country Strong.
Nowadays, Gwyneth only sings if a late-night talk show host asks her to do it as part of a skit. And it usually ends up being a pretty entertaining experience because she has a good sense of humor too!
When Gwyneth was a high school student, she took a trip to Spain, and it was a trip that changed her life forever. She fell in love with the country's food and culture, and also ended up learning to speak Spanish.
The country inspired her first book, Spain... A Culinary Road Trip, and many books have since followed. She claims to visit Spain at least once a year and brings her children along too.
Gwyneth's father, Bruce Paltrow, died suddenly at 58 from complications from oral cancer and pneumonia during a trip to Rome for her 30th birthday. She attributes many of her positive qualities to her late father.
After her father's sudden death, Gwyneth decided to dedicate herself to becoming much healthier. She began learning about fitness and nutrition, and it was a journey that would become something she'd be well known for in the years to come.
For a long time, Gwyneth swore by her personal trainer Tracy Anderson and her unique but effective workout methods. Since Paltrow began talking about fitness, Anderson's career as a celebrity trainer and fitness expert has also thrived.
